Use a compliant electronic invoicing solution

e-invoicing solutions must comply with the requirements and specifications published under the e-invoicing laws and regulations and can be summarized for Phase 1 as follows:

  • Ability to generate e-invoices with the required elements including QR codes.
  • Mofoter generates e-invoices as per the Zatca prescribed fields/elements including QR codes.

  • Ability to timestamp the e-invoice copies archived in the solution.
  • Each Transaction along with the invoice generation in Mofoter is Timestamped.

  • Absence of prohibited functionalities.
  • All the prohibited functionalties mentioned by Zatca are completely restricted in Mofoter.

  • Uncontrolled access
  • Mofoter’s access is based on proper Authentication & Authorization. There are roles like Admin, Manager and Cashier which can be assigned to the users and each user’s rights will be controlled by these roles. Each user is authenticated with a form based Authentication module. Passwords are kept encrypted.

  • Software time change
  • As Mofoter is a web based SaaS platform no user can make any change to the software time. It picks up the server time for timestamping.

  • Tampering of e-invoices or logs
  • Mofoter doesn’t allow any user to tamper or modify invoice or any other log related to the invoice. Even Admins can’t make any change in invoice and related logs. An invoice can only be created or cancelled. In case of any mistake user has to cancel the invoice mentioning proper reason. In case of return/refund of complete/partial order credit notes can be generated referencing the invoice number.

  • Multiple invoice sequences
  • Mofoter generates a single invoice sequence and no user including admin can make any change in this sequence.

Ensure invoices include the required additional fields

  • Tax Invoices:
  • The VAT registration number of the buyer if the buyer is a registered VAT taxpayer in addition to the invoice type Description as a title. QR code can be added (Optional)

  • In Mofoter Invoices are:
  • Printed with the Vat Number of the buyer if the buyer is registered VAT Taxpayer, Along with the QR code Printing on Invoice

  • Simplified Tax Invoices:
  • A mandatory QR code generated by the taxpayer’s E-Invoicing solution based on ZATCA’s specifications, in addition to the invoice type Description as a title.

  • In Mofoter Invoices are:
  • Invoice printed with QR code

QR Code fields mentioned on invoice are: Seller Name, VAT Registration Number of the Seller, Time Stamp of the Invoice/Credit/Debit Note, VAT Total, Invoice/Credit/Debit note total (with VAT)
